University of Florida police have new stun gun policy

Guidelines would still allow police to use Taser against students disrupting campus forums

Using a Taser stun gun against a student who disrupted a campus forum would still be allowed under a revised policy approved for University of Florida police. The new policy was developed after campus police shocked a university student at a September forum with U.S. Sen. John Kerry . The student, Andrew Meyer, physically resisted being escorted from an auditorium by police.
