University of Iowa ready to reopen art building after more than 3 years

Jan 3, 2012 12:42 PM

From The Cedar Rapids Gazette: The reopening of Art Building West for spring semester marks completion of the first major building on the University of Iowa campus in Iowa City that was “really put out of commission” by a major flood in 2008, Senior Vice President for Finance Doug True says. Movers this week stacked boxes in faculty offices and lined books on the Art Library shelves. The building will hold classes this spring semester, starting Jan. 17, for the first time since the flood.
