University of Kansas is offering buyouts to 540 employees

Faculty and staff that meet certain criteria are eligible

From The Lawrence Journal-World: The University of Kansas is offering buyouts to 540 of its more than 4,800 faculty and staff members on its campuses in Lawrence and Overland Park. The voluntary separation program is open to 11.25 percent of employees. Generally, employees would qualify if they were at least 62 years old and had at least 10 years of service .They would receive a lump sum payment equal to one year’s base salary, up to a maximum of $100,000. Faculty, unclassified staff and university support staff are eligible for the buyout.
