Energy retrofit planned for University of Kentucky facilities

Dec 3, 2010 1:24 PM

From The Lexington Herald-Leader: A $25 million energy retrofit of 61 campus buildings at the University of Kentucky in Lexington will include efficient modern lighting in even the oldest buildings and new pipes that don't leak. The project, which gets under way next week, is expected to save $2.4 million a year on the university's utility bills and result in what the school says will be a dramatically smaller carbon footprint.
