Technology-based residential college to open at University of Kentucky

From The Lexington Herald-Leader: A group of University of Kentucky freshmen will be residents in a new technology-based learning community. The 175 freshmen will live in an arts and sciences residential college that will be called Wired. The facility on the Lexington campus is an updated Keeneland Hall. Students living there will be given new iPads and have access to touch-screen technology in the front lobby. A variety of professors will come to the hall to hold specialty classes, which will be held in rooms with specially configured furniture to facilitate group work.
