University of Massachusetts system approves $3.1 billion capital plan

All five system institutions will get facility upgrades

From The Boston Globe: University of Massachusetts trustees have approved a five-year $3.1 billion capital plan that includes projects at all five of the system's campuses. The system will build and renovate science buildings, update student housing and improve athletic facilities. About one-third of the money will go to the flagship Amherst campus, including a $182 million housing expansion, $157 million for science labs and a $20 million upgrade to the football stadium.
