University of Southern Mississippi will build new science facility

$10 million project approved by state officials

From The Biloxi Sun-Herald: Construction will begin this summer on a new science building at the University of Southern Mississippi’s Gulf Park campus. The state College Board has approved the $10 million project that will house the university’s College of Science and Technology. The three-story building will have nine teaching laboratories, research space, 20 faculty offices and the associate dean’s office. The building also will feature an 80-seat instructional classroom.
