Austin, Texas, residents want parking meters installed near University of Texas campus

From The Austin American-Statesman: A coalition of property owners, businesses, churches and others wants the City of Austin to turn about 400 free parking spaces near the University of Texas into metered or permitted spaces. The changes would deter students from leaving cars in the same spaces for months on end and raise money for badly needed streetscape projects near the university campus.
