Teresa Sullivan gets her job back two weeks after the school's governing board forced her to resign

From The Washington Post: The University of Virginia governing board has voted unanimously to reinstate Teresa Sullivan as president, more than two weeks after board leaders had forced her to resign. The board’s vote to rescind Sullivan’s June 10 resignation completed an unprecedented cycle of events that included mass protests, no-confidence votes and talk of mass faculty defections.

EARLIER.....from The Charlottesville Daily Progress: The University of Virginia Board of Visitors has announced that it will meet next week to reconsider the ouster of President Teresa A. Sullivan. Before the announcement of a new meeting, a number of groups spoke out in Sullivan’s favor. An overwhelming majority of the institution’s deans signed a letter calling on the Board of Visitors to reinstate Sullivan. Deans of 10 of the university’s 11 schools signed the statement, as did the university librarian and the dean of admissions.

UPDATE....From The Washington Post: Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell has told members of the University of Virginia’s governing board that if they do not resolve the school's leadership crisis this week, he will remove all of them. Nearly two weeks after the ouster of President Teresa Sullivan, McDonnell has sent a stern three-page letter to the Board of Visitors. The board has called a special meeting Tuesday to discuss whether to reinstate Sullivan.
