New home for architecture school is designed to teach

The University of New Mexico has finished construction on its $8.5 million School of Architecture and Planning building, called George Pearl Hall. The four-story, 108,000-square-foot building itself is a tool to teach students of architecture and construction their future trades. Its exposed fire-proofed I-beams, poured concrete floors, exposed unfinished metal ceilings, see-through elevators and exposed ceiling cable trays are meant to complement a full architecture education. The architect is Antoine Predock.
