Freshman hall planned for Dallas campus

The University of Texas at Dallas has begun planning a freshman “living-learning” residence hall and a stand-alone food services facility. When it is completed in 18 to 24 months, the project will provide housing for 400 students, who will be grouped with those of similar interests and majors. A separate, 600-seat dining facility will be built, most likely at a more central campus location. The total cost of the projects is estimated at $37 million. The architect is Carter & Burgess.
