Grant to spur campus preservation at University of Texas

The University of Texas at Austin has received a grant of $175,000 from the Getty Foundation to help develop a preservation plan for the university's core, traditionally referred to as the "Forty Acres." The two-year project will enable the university to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the campus. The architect is Volz & Associates, which will work with students to develop the preservation plan.
