From The Richmond Times-Dispatch: Virginia is seeking federal disaster dollars to help pay for repairs to schools in Louisa County damaged in August by an earthquake. Louisa County High School and Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, both badly damaged by the quake, have been closed indefinitely, and students are being taught in temporary facilities. Others schools suffered less significant damage. Engineers have estimated the total cost to be $31 million, an amount that would likely exceed insurance coverage.
