Volunteers help clean up storm damage at Shaw University

Raleigh, N.C., campus has canceled classes for the rest of the semester

From The Raleigh News & Observer: Hundreds of volunteers gathered at Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C., to help students participate in the Project Hope campus cleanup. The school canceled the rest of its semester this week after storms caused extensive damage to the campus.

Earlier...from The Raleigh News & Observer: Classes at Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C., have been canceled for the remainder of spring semester because of storm damage. The April 16 storm dismantled buildings on campus and displaced almost 150 students. Part of the roof was torn off the student center and windows were blown out in two residence hall. Other buildings also sustained damage.
