Officials won't pursue breakup of Wake County (N.C.) district

From The Raleigh News & Observer:  Wake County (N.C.) school board Chairman Ron Margiotta caused a stir when he said that the 140,000-student district is too big and should be split up. But Margiotta and board allies now say they have no intention of pursuing such a major change.
