Michigan administrator accused of bungling budget

A finance chief at Warren (Mich.) Consolidated Schools is on administrative leave after officials accused him of bungling the budget so badly that he overstated revenue by up to $6 million. William Kiefer, associate superintendent of administrative services at the cash-strapped school district, was placed on paid leave after accusations that he crafted a $170 million budget that was riddled with accounting errors.
