Mismanagement blamed for failed charter school in Washington, D.C.

City Lights Public Charter School in Washington, D.C., is out of money and will close at the end of the month. Housed in a former Catholic elementary school, City Lights has 52 students, many of whom have serious learning and emotional disabilities. The collapse of the school has triggered a round of finger-pointing and second-guessing among school and District officials over alleged mismanagement.
