Washington, D.C., chancellor fires 241 teachers

From The Washington Post: Washington, D.C., Chancellor Michelle Rhee has fired 241 teachers who received poor appraisals under a new evaluation system that holds some educators accountable for student growth on standardized test scores. The teachers union says it will contest the firings.
