Mukilteo board puts $139 million plan back on ballot
Voters in the Mukilteo (Wash.) School District will be asked again in May to approve a $139 million school bond package to build and renovate schools. The proposal is the same one that failed to the required 60 percent when it was on the Feb. 19 ballot. It finished with 55.7 percent approval. The bond measure would provide $41 million to renovate two elementary schools and $28 million to build a new elementary. It also would pay for athletic facility upgrades, future school sites, and permanent classrooms to replace portables at the district's alternative high school. To read The Everett Herald article, click here.
