Waukesha (Wis.) district may close one or two schools

Because of tight finances and empty classrooms, the Waukesha (Wis.) district is considering closing one or two elementary schools, and a committee has identified five schools as candidates for closing. The school board would need to make a final decision on the matter by October or November if any schools are to be closed in the 2009-’10 school year.
