West Contra Costa (Calif.) district wins approval of $380 million bond package

Money will pay for construction projects at 12 schools

From The San Jose Mercury News: A $380 million school repair and reconstruction bond proposal in the West Contra Costa (Calif.) district has passed. Measure D is expected to pay for projects at 12 schools in four cities. Projects are expected to include several school reconstructions; work on dilapidated roofs, plumbing and electrical systems; removal of hazardous materials; and technology and energy-efficiency upgrades.
