Pennsylvania district prepares to build new elementary

From The Harrisburg Patriot-News: The West Shore (Pa.) school district expects to begin construction of a new Hillside Elementary School in New Cumberland, Pa., in November. The facility is expected to be substantially complete by June 2011. Demolition of the existing school would follow that summer, allowing students to begin the 2011-12 school year in the new building. The geothermal heating and air conditioning system that had been considered for Hillside has been abandoned. Continuing to wait for a grant award that would help pay for the system could delay the Hillside project. The architect is Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates Architects.
