Colorado college to pursue biomass boiler project

Jan 19, 2010 5:03 PM

News release: A $284,000 grant from the 2009 economic stimulus program will help Western State College of Colorado in Gunninson fuel a biomass boiler project. Western will use the grant to purchase equipment and prepare an on-campus site to produce and store wood chips for a biomass boiler that will be installed in Taylor Hall during its renovation next year.
The Colorado Governor’s Energy Office (GEO) has awarded grants, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, to sustainable energy projects that utilize emerging technologies.
