Maine town plans major school renovations

Wiscasset, Maine, is planning to renovate and upgrade two facilities. The project would convert the existing primary school so it can accommodate kindergarten through 6th grade, and renovate the high school to house grades seven through 12. Costs of overhauling the  wo schools could total $15.6 million. If the town wants an upgraded science lab at the high school, the cost could be an additional $400,000. A stage and rooms for band, chorus, and tech ed added to the new auditorium could be another $1.2 million. The architect is Blatt Architects.
