Yale University in
New Haven, Conn., is moving ahead with plans to build its 13th and 14th residential colleges. The new colleges are expected to open in 2013 and will allow undergraduate enrollment to grow by 15 percent, from 5,250 to about 6,000. The university says the new colleges will emulate Yale’s existing residential colleges with a master, dean, fellows and students forming a close-knit family, supported by the public and private spaces for living and study.
