The Yukon (Okla.) district has placed a $92 million bond proposal for a new high school on the March 4 ballot. The two-part bond proposal calls for $89 million to go toward construction projects and improvements and $3.4 million to buy new buses. District officials want to build a new high school that could accommodate 2,500 students. In addition, bond funds would go toward construction of new football, soccer and baseball fields and other athletic facilities. With a new high school, the existing facility would house a middle school for grades 6 to 8. Two middle schools would become upper-elementary schools for grades 4 and 5, and elementary schools would house grades preK to 3.
