Mar 1, 2011 12:00 PM

Green products from the March 2011 issue.

Floor burnishers

Advance. The Advolution 20BT battery burnisher and the Advance Advolution 20XP electric burnisher meet requirements for contributing points to LEED-EBOM certification. They both are available with active dust control and operate at sound levels of less than 70 dBA, which are requirements of the LEED-EBOM program. Burnishers with active dust control include a shroud and vacuum system that keeps dust from spreading during operation and captures dust particulates in a sealed bag onboard the machine. Capturing dust during operation also eliminates the need to dust mop after burnishing hard-floor surfaces.

This hybrid resilient sheet flooring lasts 35 to 40 years, providing greater design flexibility and durability than either carpet or resilient floors. Several environmentally friendly backings are available.
