Students help design green school

Some 45 students at the Gary and Jerri-Ann Jacobs High Tech High School in San Diego are learning about city planning, environmental awareness, property rights and more through designing a green school. During the “Gravel to Green” project, 10th-grade students are acting as architects for the 700-student K-8 charter school planned for a 3˝-acre parcel in a proposed development.
