From The St. Louis Post-Dispatch: When students at New City School in St. Louis go to the cafeteria next year, they
will be eating beneath eight species of sedum, a type of garden plant,
planted on the roof.
Following a trend that appears to be gathering momentum, the school in
the Central West End neighborhood is in the process of "going green," and its new green roof is a major step toward that goal.
