Multipurpose building at California elementary is LEED-certified

Morgan Hill Unified School District and the city of San Jose, Calif. have teamed up to construct a new multipurpose building at Los Paseos Elementary School. The addition is a multi-functional building that includes a community center, stage, kitchen, media room, and office area. the construction used insulated concrete forms (ICFs) instead of wood framing. Officials say the building is the first public school facility in California to earn LEED certification. The architect is Weston Miles Associates.
