Across the Nation: New technology center

UNIVERSITY PARK - Construction of the $40 million Information Sciences & Technology Building on the main campus of Pennsylvania State University is scheduled to begin in September.

The 126,000-square-foot, three-story building will become home to Penn State's School of Information Sciences and the Department of Computer Sciences and Engineering. It will include research and teaching labs, a cybortoreum and administrative and faculty offices.

Architects for the project are Raphael Vinoly/Pefido Weiskopf, a joint venture. Preconstruction manager is Turner Construction.
