Contactless smart credential readers

Schlage.

Operating on 13.56 MHz frequency, contactless smart credential readers provide one of the most advanced identification reader technologies available today. The combination of the new Schlage readers and smart credentials provides more security, more speed and more data storage than the more common systems of today. The new Schlage readers, when used with new Schlage smart credentials, provide an extremely rapid (up to 848 kbps baud rate) data transfer between the credential and reader, up to 32 times faster than many contactless smart credentials and readers.

Outdoor fan

Big Ass Fans. The new outdoor-rated series features the ceiling-mounted Isis for covered areas and Isis-on-a-Stick for ceiling-less spaces. The outdoor series of Isis, like its indoor predecessor, is engineered, precision-balanced and hand-built with aircraft-grade aluminum and industrial components. Its sweeping airfoil blades, shaped like aircraft wings, revolve slowly, delivering breezy comfort while deflecting airborne insects. The ceiling-mounted Isis is available in diameters of 8, 9 and 10 feet, and weighs less than 100 pounds. Isis-on-a-Stick incorporates a powder-coated 10-foot steel pole and mounting structure; the patented winglet and airfoil design spans 10 feet in diameter.

System access

Black Box. The ServSwitch Freedom (KV0004A) enables a single user to access information and control operations across numerous systems and screens. Just one USB keyboard and USB mouse can fulfill functions that previously required four separate sets. This provides savings in desk space and the time required to access and control multiple systems and screens. Users can switch between several computers by moving the mouse with the Glide and Switch feature, and can simultaneously access a mix of USB peripherals, including high-speed USB 2.0 devices.

Skincare solution

Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP). The FLex (Foam Liquid Excellence) TC Skin Care System offers the flexibility of foam and liquid refills in one dispenser, with the highest number of hand washes (up to 3,250 per refill). Additionally, the adjustable portion control helps provide a superior handwashing experience at lower cost-in-use, all within an environmentally responsible, innovative hygiene solution. The system offers biodegradable soaps and Green Seal products that meet higher environmental standards to help earn LEED credits.

Liquid-applied membrane

The Garland Company, Inc.The new Energizer LO is a fast-curing, asphaltic polyurethane membrane designed to restore smooth-surfaced SBS, APP and built-up roofing systems, significantly delaying tear-off and replacement costs. It provides an extra 65 to 78 dry mils of waterproofing and UV resistance to an aging roof system.

Floor access panel

Howe Green. The 7500 series floor access panel blends into a floor with only the very narrow edges visible. This is achieved because the panel’s recessed design can be in-filled with any matching flooring material—from hard finishes such as terrazzo or ceramic tile to sheet floor-coverings such as carpet or vinyl. At the same time, the key-locked and double-sealed frame will protect under-floor services from dirt and floor cleaning fluids and be secure against public interference. The panel can withstand loads of up to 5 tons.

Security partnership

ASSA ABLOY. The company has formed a partnership with The CBORD Group, Inc., the college and university market’s supplier of campus ID card software, door access control and campus security systems. This partnership will enable CBORD to seamlessly integrate with ASSA ABLOY’s IP-enabled and offline locksets.

Vibration-free islands

Kinetic Systems. Custom-designed BaseMate Vibration-free Islands protect sensitive equipment from vibrations. Installed at the sub-floor level in a raised-floor cleanroom or similar environment, the BaseMate Island provides a floor-level pedestal isolated from the room’s floor and vibrations caused by nearby foot traffic, as well as from ambient building vibrations caused by machinery, heating and ventilation systems, local truck or rail traffic, heavy weather and other sources.

Pedestrian crosswalk signs

Pexco. New pedestrian crosswalk signs meet new federal guidelines and are rigorously field-tested. The FG 300 EFX post contains an internal polyurethane reaction rod that stores and redirects impact energy to rebound the sign to its original vertical position. These posts feature all-plastic construction so there is no metal spring to break. They are available with bases that attach permanently to the street or with 35-pound portable bases for temporary deployment, such as at school crosswalks.

Laundry solutions

Maytag Commercial Laundry. The new Energy Advantage lineup of products for on-premise laundries offers rigid-mount front-load washer/extractors, soft-mount high-speed extractors and drying tumblers designed to lower energy costs. It also includes top-load and high-efficiency front-load washers for smaller on-premise locations.

Napkin dispensers

SCA Tissue. The Tork Xpressnap Cafe is a high-capacity, environmentally responsible dispenser that is perfect for small tables and counters where space is limited. The product’s one-at-a-time dispensing system cuts consumption by 25 percent. As an added feature, the product comes with customizable advertising space so each food-service location can create an image or message specific to its restaurant. The new dispenser is available in black, red, green and granite.
