STORRS — The Connecticut State Museum of Natural History at the University of Connecticut, after only recently moving into its newly restored building, has disclosed plans for a major addition.
The Hillside Road building is the museum's first permanent address. A temporary exhibit space has been opened as well.
The addition will add 6,000 square feet of exhibition and program space. It will also serve as the museum's new entrance. An expansion to the west will mark the third and final phase of the project, which is budgeted at $4 million.
