Campus rape: Universities with most reported incidents

June 14, 2016
A Washington Post analysis of federal data identified the higher-education institutions where rape has been reported most often.

A judge's decision to sentence a former Stanford University student to only a six-month jail sentence for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman has sparked nationwide protests, and a scandal at Baylor University over how sexual assault cases are handled has led to the ouster of the school's president, athletic director and football coach.

In this climate, more attention is being focused on the issue of rape and sexual assault on college campuses. The Washington Post, analyzing crime data that higher-educations are required to report to the federal government, has compiled a list of colleges and universities that reported the most rapes in 2014. Here are the 10 campus that reported the highest number of rapes.
