State K-12 spending hasn't caught up to pre-recession levels

Report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities says 31 states are allocating less per student than they did in 2008

State funding for public schools has not recovered in the years since the 2008 recession, the Center on Budget Policy and Priorities says.

A report from the center says at least 31 states provided less state funding per student in 2013-14 than they did in 2007-08.

Here are the 10 states with the largest cuts to K-12 funding since 2008.
