Tragedy at Virginia Tech: Around the nation, campuses review security

Nerves were on edge at universities nationwide following the Virginia Tech shooting. Security officials worried about copycat incidents, even as they acknowledged it was almost impossible to prevent shootings by a deranged student. Universities also reviewed their emergency preparedness plans, considering new technologies to reach students and faculty members in case of danger.
