Tragedy at Virginia Tech: Texas campuses say they're prepared if crisis hits

Officials at universities in central Texas are much better prepared for campus emergencies, such as the shootings that occurred Monday at Virginia Tech University, largely because of a 40-year-old local tragedy: The University of Texas Tower shooting in 1966 that influenced law enforcement around the world.
