Jan 22, 2010 8:18 PM
What role does your school's cleaning program play in protecting children and staff from H1N1? How can you prevent the spread of infection without causing more harm with potentially toxic chemicals? Please join Healthy Schools Campaign, American School & University and the Green Cleaning Network for a special webinar designed to highlight best practices and practical tips for green cleaning in the age of H1N1.
The webinar will feature:
- Lynne Sehulster, PhD of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one of our nation's leading experts on disinfection, sterilization and the transmission of infectious disease. Lynn will discuss cleaning for infection control and CDC best practices for using disinfection in a school environment.
- Steve Ashkin of the Green Cleaning Network and The Ashkin Group LLC, the "father of green cleaning." Steve will provide information about how to select environmentally preferable disinfectants for use in schools.
- Andi Lee-Marnicio, head custodian of Blackhawk Intermediate School and a winner of the 2009 Green Cleaning Awards for Schools and Universities. Andi will share her hands-on experience developing and implementing a green cleaning program to combat H1N1 in a school.
The webinar will conclude with the opportunity to ask questions and discuss implementation with these expert panelists.
