From the 2023 Educational Interiors Showcase: A.D. Henderson University School and FAU High School, Phase 1
Dec. 20, 2023
The project was recognized as an outstanding design in the Technology/Stem Centers category.
Phase 1 of this project at A.D. Henderson University School & FAU High School in Boca Raton, Florida, replaced K-8 facilities with new technology-rich buildings. With the use of color-specific LED lighting, areas are highlighted for perceived importance. Similarly, splashes of vibrant colors are used to excite the senses and challenge the norm that colors must be subdued for students of this age. In new tech labs, students learn real-world engineering challenges and work with autonomous robots. Glass partitions are used in lab areas to showcase STEM activities.
