The project was recognized as an outstanding design in the Technology/Stem Centers category.
The Technical College System of Georgia has developed a Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Emerging Technologies at Chattahoochee Technical College in Acworth. The facility has contemporary classrooms and interiors with flexible laboratory spaces as well as dedicated areas along public corridors for student gatherings and private study. The layout enables professors to monitor student activities in classrooms and laboratories. Glass walls and roll-up, garage-style door provide a direct line of sight between the laboratories.
