From the 2024 Architectural Portfolio: Children’s Village at Doylestown Health
The Children’s Village at Doylestown Health in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, was recreated after being destroyed by a tornado in August 2020. The facility has distinct paint colors and roof angles that denote the different program areas and provide an interconnected and inviting appearance. Classrooms have direct access to outdoor playgrounds via covered verandas for play even on rainy days. Expansive windows flood the interiors with natural light. The design blends resilience and childlike joy to create a beloved environment for early childhood education.
