From the 2024 Architectural Portfolio: The Plambeck Early Childhood Education Center

The Plambeck Early Childhood Education Center at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is a key component of the College of Education’s early childhood education program, providing hands-on learning opportunities for university students. With 11 high-quality classrooms accommodating up to 176 children, students gain practical knowledge and skills under the guidance of experienced educators. The center has generous corridors and activity spaces that promote exploratory learning beyond the classrooms. The design reflects the university’s connection with the regional agricultural community by integrating color, texture, and patterns.
