Since Boys Town High School opened in Nebraska in 1948, it has provided safe and inspiring learning experiences for its students. The design for the new Boys Town Education Center captures the spirit that makes Boys Town unique. Research surrounding trauma-informed design is the driving factor behind the design. Consideration for the mental health and well-being of students and staff is woven into the spaces. The new school serves 450 students in grades four to 12. Small group rooms dispersed throughout the building accommodate group work, acoustic separation, and student and teacher one-on-one time.
