From the 2024 Architectural Portfolio: Michigan State University, School of Packaging Renovation/Addition
The addition and renovated main entry to Michigan State University’s School of Packaging in East Lansing establish a new face to the public. Originally an underused, open courtyard space, the main concourse has been transformed into a flexible collaboration area. Running the full depth of the building, the space is capped by a translucent skylight that floods the corridor with daylight. The school’s large lecture hall was redesigned with accessibility in mind; a zero-slope floor, flexible seating, and acoustic treatments ensure that students of all abilities get the most out of classroom opportunities.
