School for disabled set to close in Kansas City (Mo.) district

Board says new facilities will be ready in August to replace Delano School

From The Kansas City Star: The Kansas City (Mo.) school board has voted to close Delano School, a school serving students with severe disabilities. However, the decision comes with a caveat: if new facilities aren’t ready and staff is not adequately trained by the start of the school year Aug. 15, the students would remain in Delano.
