Los Angeles district reaches tentative agreement with administrators over performance evaluations
Sept. 12, 2012
Negotiations continue with the teachers union on the same issue
From The Los Angeles Daily News: Los Angeles Unified School Superintendent John Deasy says the district has reached a tentative deal with its administrators union over performance evaluations. District negotiators are continuing discussions with the teachers union on a similar pact. The district is under a court-ordered Dec. 4 deadline to reach agreement with leaders of its administrators and teachers unions on a new evaluation that uses student test scores to help gauge the success of its educators. The agreement with the Associated Administrators of Los Angeles came after about a dozen sessions held over the last two months with district negotiators.
