New Georgia high school hopes to receive LEED certification
From myfoxatlanta.com: The DeKalb County (Ga.) district is preparing to open a new, environmentally friendly high school. Arabia Mountain High School in Lithonia, Ga., is on track to be the state's first public school to receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for its environmentally sensitive design and construction. The classrooms are flooded with natural light, and low-flow and waterless fixtures are expected to cut water usage by 43 percent. The architect is Perkins and Will.
