Mississippi breaks ground on middle school to replace campus destroyed by Hurricane Katrina

From The Biloxi Sun-Herald: The Moss Point (Miss.) district has broken ground on a middle school that will replace a facility destroyed in 2005 by Hurricane Katrina. The $20 million Magnolia Middle School is being constructed on the site of the former Magnolia Junior High, which was demolished after the hurricane. Since then, students have been housed in a former junior high campus. The middle school will be a two-story, 122,514-square-foot building and will accommodate grades 6 to 8. The building is set to open in 2013.
