Fairfield University is building residence for Jesuits

$7.5 million project will create environmentally friendly facility

Fairfield University in Fairfield, Conn., has broken ground on the new, environmentally friendly Jesuit residence. The two-story Jesuit Community Center will house 12 members of the Jesuit order and also will act as a central gathering, meeting and reflection space. The $7.5 million building will have geothermal heating and cooling capacities, bamboo flooring and recycled industrial materials and carpeting.
