The money will pay for construction of a junior high school two elementary schools, and a technology center; design of a fifth high school; and land for four more elementary schools. The bonds also will cover the costs of renovations, maintenance and additions to existing buildings.

EARLIER: The Olathe (Kan.) district has decided to place a $138 million bond proposal on the ballot in October. The bonds will provide funds to build two elementary schools, a junior high school, and a technology-support center. The bonds also will cover the costs of the preliminary design of the district’s fifth high school, as well as other facility renovations.
